The existing processes were heavily paper-based, departments worked in isolation from one another, and there was a lack of transparency regarding quotations, orders and reports. The complex requirements arising from bespoke print orders necessitated a central ERP system that was industry-specific, flexible and future-proof. Solution The implementation MEGA BASIM opted for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2012 in combination with the PrintVis printing solution. In collaboration with b4dynamics (a member of the collana Group), an industry-specific approach was adopted: sales, production, warehousing, procurement, costing and accounts were consolidated into a single solution.  PrintVis provided functions such as preliminary costing, pricing and machine integration. The system was supplemented by TARGIT for business intelligence, as well as MAS and web CRM interfaces. The new system went live after just eight months. „The biggest step in institutionalisation is the switch to an ERP system and its successful implementation. International BI platform with TARGIT at Beckhoff Automation

An international BI platform based on TARGIT and Microsoft technologies was set up for Beckhoff.
More than 300 users are working with the solution in over eleven countries. Data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, as well as historical ERP data, is analysed centrally. The purchasing, warehousing, production and dispatch departments receive up-to-date key performance indicators and are increasingly able to carry out their own analyses.

At the German Economic Institute, TARGIT forms the basis for a centralised reporting system featuring interactive dashboards and KPI monitoring.

However, as usage grew, so did the volume of data: Which content works well? Where is there room for improvement in learning outcomes? Until now, these questions could only be answered inadequately. The aim was therefore to establish a scalable BI solution based on a central data warehouse – one that complies with data protection regulations, is role-based, and delivers real added value for learning, HR and sales. Solution The Implementation A generic, extensible data model was developed in collaboration with b-imtec. The learning platform was integrated via web services, all data was centralised in a Microsoft SQL-based data warehouse and visualised using TARGIT 2022. The dashboards automatically recognise whether users are authorised to view anonymised or personal data. This enables content to be analysed and further developed in a targeted manner – both internally and externally. The project was presented on schedule at Learntec 2022 and has been continuously developed ever since – including with a view to new data sources such as HR and sales. „From the initial idea right through to the final implementation, b-imtec was always a strong partner. Dashboards and KPIs are available much more quickly, and standardised reports can be adapted immediately for new clients. The generic data model enables flexibility without compromising on standards or data protection. The solution has established itself as a strategic management tool – for internal learning, client projects and the product portfolio itself.
