With rising passenger numbers and growing technical requirements, it was clear that maintenance of the central systems at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) needed to be digitised.
The aim was to create a future-proof solution for mobile maintenance that would enable maintenance processes to be managed more efficiently, transparently and completely paperless – with full traceability and compliance with all safety standards.

The decision was made in favour of the collana maintenance software. maintool.
Since then, important airport systems, including baggage handling systems, passenger boarding bridges, runway lighting and apron lighting, have been controlled centrally and digitally.
Maintenance orders are easy to manage, information is available on the go at any time, and processes are fully documented.
