Cairo AG is an international multichannel retailer of designer furniture, lighting and accessories. The company wanted to dismantle its historically grown system landscape and replace it with a powerful, standard-based ERP solution.
It was particularly important to map complex requirements such as omnichannel capability, client structure, international scaling and the combination of B2B and B2C business models in a hybrid platform. Another focus was the unique selling point of „order today – delivered tomorrow“, which places the highest demands on logistics and system processes.
Back in 2006, Cairo opted for the mail order solution from collana subsidiary MAC IT-Solutions. In 2018, the decision was made to switch to the latest version. The aim was to introduce a modern ERP, CRM and warehouse management system based on Microsoft Dynamics.
During the workshop phase, particular attention was paid to the logistical specifics of Cairo's business model, including freight forwarding with two- and four-person handling, special services, return processes and complaint handling.
Further challenges lay in international business: for example, the integration of Swiss customs or the environmental tax in France (Eco-Mobilier).
