In the field of stem cell transplantation, Inselspital Bern faced the challenge of digitising complex administrative and organisational processes that were previously paper-based.
The new solution had to comply with the strict FACT-JACIE guidelines and at the same time be flexible enough to adapt to new medical findings – while ensuring maximum safety and traceability.

collana solutions AG developed the web application „MARCELL“, which reliably fulfils all the requirements of stem cell therapy.
It enables structured data collection and comprehensive quality control in accordance with FACT-JACIE standards.
Technical highlights of the solution include HL7 integration into the clinical information system, ISBT128-compliant label generation and automatic PDF creation of all relevant documents.
In addition to development, collana solutions AG also took on maintenance and support, including continuous further development to ensure long-term usability.
